What does it mean to be a member of the Community of Character?

Businesses and organizations within North Perth have an opportunity to make a formal commitment to working with Character. You will be recognized as an organization that is committed to embracing people from all races, cultures, life experiences and abilities. You believe this to be important because our community will be enriched by the full participation of all people in all aspects of life. You vow to continue working to change attitudes, enhance policies and change behaviour. You will encourage all to work, play and live with character. Always.
Not a member?  The Community of Character Council  invites you to consider making the commitment to become a recognized Business of Character.

There is no fee to join. Each month, our members receive an email with an explanation of the Character Trait of the Month and some resources that organizations can use to promote this trait to their members, staff, customers, friends and family. You'll include a poster that can be printed for your lunchroom or shared on your social media accounts, some ideas on how to incorporate the trait into your day and maybe a piece of trivia or interesting news bit to support our belief that building good character builds a desirable community.  We only ask that you share and promote the message as much as possible.

How Great Leaders Inspire Action TEDtalk by Simon Sinek is a great explanation of how successful businesses focus on WHY they do what they do, not what they do.  What you do proves what you believe in.

Our Current Businesses and Organizations of Character
Please take a moment to acknowledge the current businesses & organizations who have made the commitment to support and encourage living with character in their daily efforts.  And please keep your eyes open for their Community of Character Member Plaque on displays!
